NGS 2022 — Turbo Charge Your Research Planning with Trello

I provide many of the materials from my presentations for free on this site, to help people learn how to use technology to improve their success with genealogy research. I get paid to create and present these materials, of course. And I hope you or your society will hire me. But that is secondary to… Continue reading NGS 2022 — Turbo Charge Your Research Planning with Trello

NMGS July 2021 — Evernote for Genealogists

I spoke to the members of the New Mexico Genealogical Society (and actually anyone who wanted to could get on the Zoom), about how genealogists can benefit from Evernote. In that lecture, I mentioned Evernote Templates, and a workaround to use templates manually. Here are some sample templates that I created. 101 — Template —… Continue reading NMGS July 2021 — Evernote for Genealogists

I recently gave two talks on genealogy and technology at the NGS Family History Conference in St. Charles, Missouri. One talk was Evernote for Genealogists. Here are the slides. Eulogy for Alice Jones

I think of my mother are an adventurous person. She thought nothing about packing the five of us into a VW bug and heading to British Columbia. Or, when we were more grown, into a station wagon and heading to West Virginia, or Boston. When she wanted to revamp the kitchen cabinets, but couldn’t afford… Continue reading Eulogy for Alice Jones
